Education

  • Outreach into local schools
    ○ Lead or assist with presentations in schools (basic teaching ability needed), develop materials to be used when we bring in our taxidermy mounts (kids LOVE these critters).

  • Bay Days [Outdoor educational program for 4th graders, in spring and fall]
    ○ Help coordinate & schedule, chaperone a class (escort between activities), or lead an activity (requires specialized knowledge about the Bay).

  • Archaeology Digs
    ○ Come dig (training provided) or help with set-up and site remediation.

  • Speaker Series
    ○ Bring refreshments or help with set-up.

  • Summer Outings
    ○ Lead a paddle or walk (experience required), or help with set-up.

  • Water quality monitoring
    ○ 1–2 hours, once a month, March – October.
